Pastoral Letters are weekly communications from our church pastor to the congregation.  They are mostly original reflections on the Word of God in response to church events or current affairs, local or beyond, with the primary intent to exhort Christians to live rightly before God in the real world.  Short bibliographies are sometimes featured towards the same end.

We pray that these writings will be a great blessing to you!

Earthquakes

Within a span of about a week, several severe earthquakes hit different parts of the world.  A few days ago, an earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale rocked Sichuan, killing 186 people and injured 11,000 people.  Before that, Iran was hit by a 7.8 Richter scale earthquake.  Then Japan...

Unity in Sharing the Gospel

The Apostle Paul said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” (Romans 1:16).  Every Christian who genuinely follows the Lord can testify to the truth of this...

Be Kind to One Another

On one Saturday afternoon, my neighbour who is an elderly man came to visit me at my hostel.  He was very gentle and polite.  He is an architect in charge of a construction project in the University of Cape Town.  In the course of my conversation with him, he told...
