Pastoral Letters are weekly communications from our church pastor to the congregation.  They are mostly original reflections on the Word of God in response to church events or current affairs, local or beyond, with the primary intent to exhort Christians to live rightly before God in the real world.  Short bibliographies are sometimes featured towards the same end.

We pray that these writings will be a great blessing to you!

We will be celebrating Father’s Day in a week’s time.  We thank God for the father who tirelessly and laboriously works in order to provide for his family, protects and shields them from harm and danger.  We remember the father who chauffeurs his children to and from classes.  He even...

Two weeks ago, a bomb exploded during a musical concert in England, Manchester.  The bomb was planted by a terrorist, Salman Abedi, and killed 22 children and young people, and injured many others.  What is troubling is this: The country, England, which Salman Abedi bombed was the same country that...

Handling Depression—Part 1

Stephen Altrogge wrote this article in http://www. desiringgod.org/articles/how-to-fight-for-faith-in-the-dark. I’ve often said that depression is like wearing tinted glasses. Everywhere you look, things look dark.  Bleak. Black.  Hopeless.  Helpless.  The waiting room for depression says, “Abandon hope, all ye who enter here.” Depression is both a physical and spiritual affliction.  Neurons...

If Jesus Were Never Resurrected
