Pastoral Letters are weekly communications from our church pastor to the congregation.  They are mostly original reflections on the Word of God in response to church events or current affairs, local or beyond, with the primary intent to exhort Christians to live rightly before God in the real world.  Short bibliographies are sometimes featured towards the same end.

We pray that these writings will be a great blessing to you!

SINGAPORE—This year’s National Day Parade (NDP) will focus on allowing Singaporeans celebrate the occasion in their homes, instead of a central location like the floating platform at Marina Bay. Unlike previous parades, Singapore’s 55th birthday bash—which features the theme “Together, A Stronger Singapore”—will see many parade segments moved to the...

Beware of the Influence of the World-Part 2

In my last pastoral letter, I shared that we are naturally concerned for our livelihood, and that the Lord knows and will meet our needs too (Matt 6:26). I also emphasised, however, that in the process of working hard to earn a living, including attaining good academic results and advancing...

The article below was written by Dr. Peter Masters and is extracted from https://www.metropolitantabernacle.org/Articles/God-s-Love-in-a-Pandemic. These are momentous days when we find ourselves in the midst of a worldwide ‘discipline’ or warning from God, calling us to acknowledge and seek Him. And although we shrink from the thought, this is the...
