“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
The Christmas light up along Orchard Road never fails to delight me. The glittering lights shine and brighten the night along Orchard Road.
Indeed, the Christmas lighting along Orchard Road is even the reason why many people will go to Orchard Road.
In the same way, our Lord Jesus Christ exalts us to be the salt and light of the world.
We, as his redeemed, have to live a life that leaves an indelible impression on others with our kindness, patience, love, joy, peace, meekness and longsuffering, even as we interact with them.
We are commanded to be the light of the world. As God has placed us in the little corners of the world, be it in our workplace, school, home and community. May we continue to live a life that is exemplary and worthy of the name of Christian.
With the Christmas festive season just around the corner, may I strongly encourage you to be part of the carolling team and be an evangelical vehicle to bring the gospel of salvation to our loved ones, friends, and family, we can be part of this witness to shine individually as well as collectively.
If our individual light is bright, how much brighter our light when we come together as a collective witness.
I have always enjoyed carolling with church members. Through the Christmas songs and personal invitation, we trust that these, together with the message that will be given that night, may touch hearts and lives and move mountains and win souls for the LORD.
We are going to three homes this year. We will present the true meaning of Christmas through songs and message.
May I strongly encourage you to pray, have in mind whom you like to invite and be bold to invite your loved ones, classmates, colleagues and family to the Christmas Carol.
Have a blessed, bright week ahead!
