Dear Christian, the gospel says that every human being has a serious sickness: we have sinned against God. “For all have sinned” (Rom 3:23). Not only so, God is furious about sin. “The wages of sin is death” (Rom 6:23). Not only will you die where your brain and heart will stop working. You will be suffer eternal torment in hell because you have sinned against God who hates sin infinitely. Oh, you do not quite understand how angry God is about our sins in thought, word and deed. Neither do you understand the power of God. Why must we obey God than obey human beings? Jesus says, “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matt 10:28). The gospel of Jesus Christ brings forgiveness of every sin and appeases the great anger of God. How can you not tell your loved ones about Jesus? Above all, everyone will die. You will not live forever in this world. One day, no matter how long you can live on earth, you must leave this world and go to another world. Where are you going after you die? Where are you going after you die? We thank and praise God. On the day you believe in Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, Jesus gives you eternal life: “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish” (John 10:28). You are eternally secure from the moment you let Jesus become your Saviour. Jesus will never give up on you because he loves God’s children with an everlasting love (Rom 8:28-29),
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Nothing can separate a Christian from God’s love. That’s how secure you are. You have eternal life. And one day, God will give us a resurrection body, a new physical body, that will never die or sin. Meanwhile, in this life, your Saviour will take care of you with his unconditional love and almighty power. Truly, a person who has accepted Jesus as your Saviour is completely saved now and into eternity. Hence, we are not afraid of sufferings in the world (John 16:33). This is such good news. How can you not tell your loved ones this good news? How can you let them die in sin? How can you let their soul perish in hell eternally? What can you do?
First, you must pray for your unsaved loved ones regularly or even daily. George Muller, the man who obtains things from God by prayer without sharing his needs prayed for his friends. Some came to know the Lord. Some came to know the Lord after he died. Will God save if we pray? Let God decide. Our duty to people and God is to pray. Second, give tracts. There are many good and relevant tracts at the reception table in the sanctuary. Grab a few. Put them in your pocket or bags. Give out tracts. Some have known to be saved by reading tracts. Third, master a skill. Learn how to share the full gospel using booklets like the Four Spiritual Laws or the Bridge to Life. Learn to share the Bridge to Life by “sharing and drawing” using just a pen and blank piece of paper. Fourth, most importantly, have good Christian conduct. Be a good Christian testimony. Remember, when people know you are a Christian, they are observing you. “You are the salt of the earth” (Matt 5:13). “You are the light of the world” (Matt 5:14). Impact others by your life conduct: “let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matt 5:16).
May people around you receive eternal life because of you. Pray. Give tracts. Master a gospel skill. Be a good testimony.
