How to remember our Lord’s Death?
In about a month’s time on 1st April (Maundy Thursday), we shall be remembering our Lord’s death for us. What is the best way to remember Him? The best way to remember Him is to do that which He cares most about: The Lord “is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Pet 3:9); “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10). Your Saviour greatest desire is for sinners to be saved for eternity. For that reason, we shall be holding our first Gospel Rally this year on 1st April, at 8 pm in church so that you can invite your loved ones to hear the gospel that they may obtain eternal salvation.
Things to Do
Do you love your Saviour? If you do, then you must bring sinners to salvation. These are several things that you should do. First, you must pray. Ask God to guide your heart that you may know whom you can invite. Pray that the Almighty God will prepare his or her heart when you invite. Pray every day for him or her. Get the church to pray for them during prayer meeting. Ask your bible study group members to pray for them every day: “Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:24). Second, get from the church 5 invitation cards and invite 5 relatives or friends. Invitation cards will be available in two weeks time. There is a possibility that you might be rejected. Do not be discouraged. Jesus says: “Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find” (Matt 22:9). Invite your family members, relatives, neighbours, friends, and even strangers. This is the way your Lord wants you to invite. Let us fill the Sanctuary, Cry Room and even the Reception Area with people. If you do this, you can be sure the Lord is very pleased with you because you love Him: “He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him” (Psa 126:6). Thus, start praying for your 5 friends today and pray every day.
